I love shooting engagement sessions, especially if they are tied to a place or a story unique to the couple. That’s why I was very happy when John & Elaine suggested shooting in Meelick in Galway, where both grew up. It also the place where John proposed, which made it extra special.
The day blessed us with some unseasonably gorgeous weather. John & Elaine are getting married in November so it was nice to shoot some summery photos for them.
We took a relaxed walk around the various beautiful sceneries that the location offered. I feel like it’s quite uniquely Irish that a couple is able to take you around to their home houses and the land just happens to include a castle ruin! In a similar fairytale fashion, when I arrived, a white horse was having a sip of water on the river bank!
I also experimented with my very first cinemagraph (photograph with elements of movement) and I love the way it came out! It’s such a joy getting creative with lovely people!
