Autumnal Irish Fairy Inspiration Shoot at Coole Park

The trees are in their autumn beauty,
The woodland paths are dry,
Under the October twilight the water
Mirrors a still sky.

William Butler Yeats – Wild Swans at Coole

The world of the fairy folk and nature is one of my strongest inspirations in life. No wonder that I am attracted to the writings of William Butler Yeats and chose to live in one of the most mythical places in the world, Ireland.

Today I bring you this Autumnal Irish Fairy Inspiration Shoot photographed in Coole Park, where Yeats walked and drew inspiration from. I’ve had a vision for this shoot for a while and this wonderful team helped me bring it to life just as I had pictured it:

Model: Maria of Catwalk Models
White Dress & Amethyst Headband: Cotton Face (Flea Style)
Green Dress: Mez’s Costumes
Bird Jewellery: Eclectic Eccentricity

Let us celebrate autumn and escape a little to the world of fairy dust and enchantment!

Autumn is over the long leaves that love us,
And over the mice in the barley sheaves;
Yellow the leaves of the rowan above us,
And yellow the wet wild-strawberry leaves.

The hour of the waning of love has beset us,
And weary and worn are our sad souls now;
Let us part, ere the season of passion forget us,
With a kiss and a tear on thy drooping brow.
