When I heard that Aoibheann & Dez were having a festival themed wedding at Galway Glamping, I had both of my hands up with ‘pick me, photographer here’ signs pointing towards me! They guys are seasoned festival goers and it was so cool to see them bring their own personality and style into the day. Their very own camper van (aptly nicknamed ‘Love Bug’) came out for the day and their doggie Taz was their ring bearer.
In traditional Galway fashion, the day brought some light drizzle but that didn’t stop the guys from having their beautiful ceremony outside under the guidance of Celtic priest Dara Molloy. My heart jumped a little when I walked into the reception room and saw all the stunning dream catchers, lights, flowers, lace and feathers that Aoibheann and the ladies from The Wedding Festival had prepared. The talented duo of Melanie and Isobel looked after the styling on the day and even hand-made a festival style Welcome sign! If you’re ever planning a similar style celebration, I highly recommend hiring this talented duo to help take the stress away from coordinating the day.
I felt quite jealous of myself that day, as it was exactly the type of warm, unique and fun day as a wedding photographer that I’d dreamed of doing when I first started. Thank you A&D and I wish you a wonderful life together!
