This gorgeous couple, Alyssa and Jack, contacted me from the US, with their vision to plan a very special engagement session over in Ireland. Alyssa and her family paid a visit to her granny’s ancestral home in Arklow and went on a week long trip around the Emerald Isle. With their winter wedding coming up in January, this was an opportunity for the guys to get some once-in-a-lifetime photos ahead of their wedding day.
We liaised with Alyssa over email and planned an afternoon session around some of the most stunning locations in the West of Ireland. Our route took us to Corcomroe Abbey, Cliffs of Moher, Doonagore Castle, The Burren and of course the trip wouldn’t be complete without a quick stop at a traditional Irish pub.
The day was misty and drizzly, which was challenging, but added a unique mystical touch to the photos. Our trip even included an impromptu encounter with wild horses on the windswept shores of the Burren. The horses were calm and let us carefully approach them. Alyssa loves horses, so this was a very surreal, magical moment. In fact, the whole session felt like it was plucked out of a fairytale book. It made me feel so grateful that I get to meet such lovely people in my profession and share these enchanting little life’s moments with them.
